I am Jennifer Gold - a Family Physician who has always had an interest in style and styling others. Through my desire for higher education and my interest in helping humankind I found my career in medicine. While being a physician is both challenging and fulfilling I felt there was something missing…
Thinking about my career choice I joined a supportive community – the Canadian Women in Medicine. Through these amazing women, I found my way to a facebook group entirely for physicians interested in fashion and beauty (*the HIVE of style*). I was inspired by the confident, brilliant, kick-ass women who can save someone’s life AND look good while doing it.
However, I also encountered many women who should feel confident, brilliant and kick-ass but whose energy just wasn’t there. Why couldn't they see how beautiful, smart and accomplished they are!? And why did so many of them say and believe they “have no style”? In fact, why do so many high-achieving females in many professions never shake their “imposter syndrome” and truly own their awesomeness?
I felt a little spark inside me while pondering these questions…
Maybe I could help professional women find a style they resonate with and in the process help them to embody the bad-ass they truly are?
Gold Standard Style was born.
I jumped in headfirst and am working on embodying my own *confident glow* while helping other professionals to find their own.
